i started making in in the BGE but it never really got anywhere.so i decided to save the idea for the next my little game dev (MLGD) marathon!
anyway, this game is a simple 'linear progression' temple run style game that plays like a 3d cloud kicker game.
except there is more to it than that of course!
you play as luna, with the simple goal of getting a devastating message to Celestia, although you will never make the journey.
the gameplay works like so: you control your position and have a constant forward speed.
you also have two properties, power and endurance.you can boost which will make you move much faster but also drain your power.
as you progress you score increases, there are also bonuses that increase score.
eventually these magical projectiles will start to spawn in order to gun you down.if they hit you they will drain your endurance.
when you have no endurance left its game over, and you fall out of the sky.
there are bonuses that increase both your power and endurance, as well as special ones that give you special effects like a super-boost.
the game has a very bloomy blue visual style, and the bonuses are made of magic glowing orbs.
in fact a pretty big part of this game is looking pretty, and showing off the beauty of the equestrian night sky.
anyway, this game is going to be my entry for the 2nd half of 2013 MLGD marathon that is going on right now.
submissions start on December 30th and the final release will be some time after that.
unless i am allowed to release a demo in the mean time, that will be when the game gets properly released.

'Gloomermancer' - the fan game has a name
just a little bit of news.
at the moment the RG game is a bit of a low priority, but i will still finish the game, it's only a matter of time.
now first off, the RG game is now called 'Gloomermancer'.
along with that comes a pretty major change to the games concept.
now instead of fighting with weapons (swords and such) ruby will be fighting with magic.
well actually science, not magic. a powerful mix of force and machine that skullboy thought up.
although it behaves very similar to your common every day magic.
this little change will mean that combat will be much more varied an imaginative that what it would have been.

This is mealy a random stab at an idea that i worked on for less that 4 hours. there is NO real rewards for progressing in this game. there is next to NO gameplay. 90% of the items are POINTLESS.

No Guns in Canterlot - changing hands
well, looks like i'm not going to be finishing this game.
the project has been 'suspended' for months now and it's going nowhere in a hurry.
I simply don't have that much passion for the MLP fandom any more.
not for any particular reason, just a loss of interest over time.
so anyway, luckily i knew someone who was happy to take over the project!

well, it's been a while since i've said anything about the various games i'm working on.
so might as well post a progress update.
first off: the ruby gloom game!
after a while of absolutely nothing, i've finally gotten a proper start on this one.
at this point items, inventories, potions, scores, health and GUI stuff is going well.
as well as pretty graphics (the game will no longer be using outline rendering, but will still use toon shading).
